Unipolar Encoding
Unipolar
Encoding –
Unipolar
encoding is very simple & very
primitive . It uses only one level of value .
Digital transmission system work by sending voltage pulses
along a medium link, i.e. wire or cables.
In most type
of encoding one voltage level stands for binary 0 & another level stands for
Binary 1. and the polarity of pulse
refers to whether it is positive or negative.
Unipolar encoding uses only one polarity
and that ius assign to binary state 1,
While the other binary state 0 is represented by zero voltage.
Fig. showing Unipolar encoding
In this Example , The binary 1s are encoded as a
positive value and The binary 0s are
encoded as the zero value.
